“A little piece of heaven”
— Jill WA little piece of heaven! After spending 20 year's travelling the world and staying in alot of hotels this place is an absolute gem and would recommend it to anyone. My mum was recovering from an operation and Anne let us use her apartment next door so as my mum wouldn't have to go up and down the stairs to use the bathroom. Everything inside the barn is stunning and top quality , Anne bent over backwards to ensure we had a memorable stay. She is such a busy lady but still made time to make us some fresh scones , jam and dig us up some of her own potatoes. Please book early to avoid disappointment this place has got to be seen to be believed. My only regret was that I had to go home after a week. I will definitely be back and some family members have already booked in after just seeing the place!! You will not be disappointed. -
“Book early so you don't miss out!”
— Jay WI was only able to book one night at Kilcootry Barn, with 4 adults and one teenager, so if you want to stay here, I would advise you book early, and stay for at least a few days. We did not want to leave. It was breathtakingly beautiful from the minute we drove up the driveway. I looked out the window and there were rabbits romping on the lawn. For a townie like me it was great! The cottage itself was artistically appointed, with so many lovely touches. It felt like being trusted to step into someone's home with all their little possessions that made it feel like a home away from home. The bedrooms and living area were all really spacious and the kitchen/diner was excellent. Even though the weather was miserable, the cottage was cosy, and Anne could not have been more friendly or helpful. I would highly recommend a stay here. -
“Fantastic Stay at the Kilcootry Barn”
— LizzyHigh praise for Anne and her Kilcootry Barn. We travelled with 4 adults and two children and were very comfortable here. The accommodations were outstanding. The flowers outside we bursting with color and very inviting. The home was clean, warm and inviting. Anne thought of every detail a traveller would need. She had fresh eggs, milk, tea and treats awaiting us upon check in. Anne also left homemade scones with her own jam one morning after a rather late evening in the pub. The adults and children enjoyed touring the fields of sheep, chickens, goats, a pony and a couple of alpacas. I did not want to leave. I will recommend to all friends and family touring Ulster to stay with Anne. Her hospitality is above and beyond any others in the local area. PS. Anne is an accomplished florist who arranged a bouquet for our family grave in no time at all and it was positively lovely. -
“Outstanding holiday home”
— GemEverything at Kilcootry Barn is excellent. There is nothing to fault it. It has been converted to the highest standards, comfortable and stylish. The grounds are immaculately maintained, quiet and beautiful. All this is due to the tireless efforts of our host Anne, for whom nothing is too much trouble to ensure that the guests are happy. Home made jam and fresh eggs, and some lovely cakes greeted us on our arrival. The property is warm and comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We will definitely return and would recommend this as one of the best holiday homes in Ireland. We had a wonderful family holiday and were sorry to leave both Kilcootry Barn and our wonderful host Anne. -
“Wonderful place to stay”
— Susan RWe stayed at the Barn for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The Barn is beautifully decorated and is very comfortable. Anne is very helpful and had stocked the kitchen with essentials including some of the nicest bread I have ever eaten. There are lots of places to visit in the area and we would definitely stay here again. -
“Exceeded all expectations”
— Long DistanceThe Kilcootry Barn was superb! We rented the "barn" to provide extra room for my family while visiting family in the area, however far from being just additional space for us, the accommodations and our host Anne, were one of the highlights of the trip. Anne goes far and above to make you feel welcome, and is a pure delight. All the rooms are absolutely beautifully decorated and all modern conveniences have been thought of and provided. The photos while beautiful, don't do justice to the beautiful accommodations and surroundings. We look so forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you Anne for everything!
